The Mohawk has Fallen...

Evelyn was born with this wonderful FULL head of hair that went every which way, in the front it naturally went into a mohawk... Ted even nicknamed her " The Hawk" after her wonderful hairdo. Her hair has been been a great conversation piece and Ted and I have taken LOTS of pictures from all different angles as we giggle about this mop of hair. Sadly though, we have noticed that as her hair is growing, the mohawk that we had grown to love is now pretty much gone. The front lays down now, but the hair towards the back of her head still sticks up a bit... kind of like a shark fin. Here are some pictures to show off this beautiful hair!!

First Word!!

Evie just turned 7 months old last week, she is sitting up almost on her own now, she eats two "meals" a day of rice cereal and a veggie and she has two teeth. Today's big news is her first word... really, already? I understand that babies babble, but she plainly said "DA-DA".... the first time she did it I wrote it off as a babble... but then Ted got home from work and she said it right to his face!! Yep, first word is "DA-DA". I'm ok with it, luckily Kate's first word was "MA-MA" or I would be a little heart broken. I'm hoping to get it on video soon.

Two New Teeth...

The last 2 months have been a challenge... teething is NO fun!! Poor baby was up A LOT at night, hence mommy and daddy were up a lot at night. Both lower teeth are finally through and Evie seems to be able to sleep better now. I have been trying to take a picture of those beautiful pearly whites, but she is not willing to share.

6 months old....

HOW DID THAT HAPPEN??!! 6 months is a huge milestone, lots of new things start to happen... solid foods, rolling over, teething, babbling... wow, she is growing up so fast. 6 months also means off to the doctors office for a check-up and more shots!! YIKES!! Here are Evie's stats...

Its been too long...

Wow, it has been too long!! WAY TOO LONG!! Where in the world did December and January go??!! Well, here is a quick recap of the last couple of months in our world...

Christmas was great!! Christmas Eve with my parents, Christmas Day split between Dick's house and Jane's house. It was great being with family and enjoying the holiday season. During this time Evie went from an AWESOME sleeper too not so much... what a bummer. We are slowly working back to being a good sleeper, but it is taking awhile to get there.

We were up at our cabin after Christmas and during the New Year. We had a TON of snow up there and this is how we started off our week and a half up there... Kate at least got to try out her new snowshoes that daddy and I got her for Christmas.

January 24th brought a huge milestone for Evie, 6 months old!! How did that happen?? We started her on cereal and here is her reaction, LOL!!
